Hub

Gertie's space at 400 N. Peoria is a hub for Chicago's creative community, bringing together institutional exhibitions, commercial programming, and emerging artists under one roof in a way that reflects how we actually believe the art world should work. Visitors can experience large-scale conceptual shows in the main exhibition space, discover and purchase work through our gallery collaborations, and engage with emerging artists in residence upstairs, all while gathering in the hospitality area we are building out at the front of the building.

Gertie Exchange is our collaborative programming arm—a platform for bringing artists, galleries, and institutions from outside Chicago into meaningful, mutually beneficial dialogue with the city. Exchange partnerships create opportunities for visiting artists and institutions to engage directly with Chicago’s audiences, collectors, and cultural infrastructure.
